Which Filters Are Available For Jupiter Water Ionizers?
Jupiter Science produces the best filter cartridges for alkaline water ionizers on the market, hands down. Their patented Biostone Filters incorporate the semi-precious mineral Tourmaline. Tourmaline NATURALLY emits far infrared energy (FIR) and changes the surface tension of the water, making it (a) easier to process for the ionizer and (b) beginning the negative ion creation process.
In practical terms it means you'll get better water by far, even with the "Purified Only" water, and you'll get more antioxidant effect with the alkalinized water, without an accompanying increase in alkalinity.

Jupiter BioStone Plus Filter
The new BioStone Plus filter has replaced the .1M Biostone filter as a replacement filter and is specifically designed to filter out the chlorine and chloramines that municipal water is treated with. If you are on a city water source, then you need this filter! The nine-stage Biostone Plus incorporates the amazing natural properties of "vortex hydraulics" in its filter body design which reduce channeling and ensure the optimal performance and longevity of your filter. Its superior cutting edge filtration media is a uniquely treated type of "super" catalytic carbon. Ionizer units that use this filter can also use the .01 Micron Ultra Biostone filter if their situation requires it.

Jupiter .01 Micron Ultra Biostone Filter
This is the default filter for the Orion JP109 and Aquarius JP108 alkaline water ionizers. While the .1 Micron filter is usually all the filtering you would need for typical city-supplied municipal tap water, for those who have excessive sediment or other compounds in their water (for example, if you have a well and live near a fueling station or industrial farmland) you will probably want the extra filtering capability of the .01M (1/100th of a micron) ultra filter. This is the same filtering capacity as a typical kidney dialysis machine (woah!). The choice is yours... but, there's no need to spend the extra money unless you really need that extra filtering capability.

Jupiter .1 Micron Standard Biostone Filter
This replacement filter is the only filter available for the models listed below - it is a Biostone Filter with a .1 micron filter meshing (there is no .01 micron filter available for these units). The difference is that this filter body is slightly larger than the newer .1M and .01M Biostone filters offered for Jupiter's newer water ionizers.
